First Monday Trade Days is the World's Oldest and Largest Arts/Crafts, Antiques and
Collectibles Market, established in 1896.   Canton's population of about 3000 swells to
between 100,000 and 200,000 during the 4-5 days of Trade Days.  This event happens
the weekend before the first Monday of each month.  It begins on Thursday and goes
through Sunday unless Monday is a Holiday.  Then it is open Monday as well. 
It often begins the last days of the previous month, so check the calendar to be
