Edgewood is a nice little town clustering North and South of Hwy 80, about 50 miles East
of Dallas.  It is about 7 miles East of Wills Point and about 7 miles North of Canton, up FM 859. 
The population of Edgewood is about 1,470.  It is known for it's very nice Heritage Park with
buildings representing the History of Van Zandt County, plus a Great School District.  All
of the schools, which are modern campuses, are together
at the East edge of town on just off Hwy 80.

Edgewood ISD is Rated as Academically Acceptable for the 2006 & 2007 school year.
